Deliveries and returns

Our delivery costs vary by brand. But don’t worry - you’ll see exactly what you’re paying at checkout. Easy.

‍Changed your mind or got the wrong size? No stress - here’s how to sort a return:

  1. Head to your Orders page: Find the item you want to return.
  2. In the Returns section - select the products you want to return and follow the steps on reasons for your return.
  3. You will receive a Returns Label with instructions on how to proceed
  4. Pack it up, send it back, and keep hold of your proof of postage.

**Tip: Make sure to always check the seller’s return policy before buying so you know what to expect (some items might not be returnable, like personalised products).

You won’t get your refund straight away - once the brand gets the item back, they’ll inspect it and start the process of your refund.

**Make sure to check the return policy on the brand you have shipped with to understand how you will receive your return

Once a return is in motion, we can’t stop the process - but no stress! If you change your mind, you don’t have to send the item back. Keep it, and enjoy your stuff!

We may use your personal information to form a view on what we think you may want or need, or what may be of interest to you. This is how we decide which products, services and offers may be relevant for you (we call this marketing). We will only send you direct marketing communications by email or text if we have your consent. You have the right to withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.

We will get your express opt-in consent before we share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

We will always treat your personal information with the utmost respect and never sell or share it with other organisations outside Hazaar Limited for marketing purposes.

You have the right to opt out of receiving promotional communications at any time by:

  • contacting us at support@justhazaar.com
  • using the ‘unsubscribe’ link in emails
  • updating your marketing preferences on the website

We may ask you to confirm or update your marketing preferences if you instruct us to provide further services in the future, or if there are changes in the law, regulation, or the structure of our business.

We routinely share personal information with (subject always to the restrictions mentioned above):

  • third parties we use to help deliver our services to you, eg IT, systems administration, marketing, payment service providers, and vendor partners who fulfill orders and process returns and refunds on our behalf
  • professional advisors including lawyers, bankers, auditors, insurers, and insurance brokers who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services
  • third parties approved by you, eg social media sites you choose to link your account to or third party payment providers

We only allow our service providers to handle your personal information if we are satisfied they take appropriate measures to protect your personal information. We also impose contractual obligations on service providers who ensure they will only use your personal information to provide services to us and to you.

All vendor partners must sign data processing agreements that require them to:

  • Use your personal information only for the agreed purposes
  • Implement appropriate security measures to protect your data
  • Delete or return your personal information when the service is completed
  • Not share your information with any other third parties without explicit consent

We may also share personal information with external auditors, e.g. in relation to ISO or Investors in People accreditation and the audit of our accounts.

We may disclose and exchange information with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

We may also need to share some personal information with other third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. . Usually, information will be anonymised but this may not always be possible. The recipient of the information will be bound by confidentiality obligations.

Other than as mentioned above, we will not share your personal information with any other third party.

We will keep your personal information while you have an account with us or we are providing services to you. Thereafter, we will keep your personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.

By law we have to keep basic information about our customers for six years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.

In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your data: see your legal rights below for further information.

When it is no longer necessary to retain your personal information, we will delete or anonymise it.

Some of our external third parties are based outside the UK so their processing of your personal information will involve a transfer of data outside the UK.

Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

  • We will only transfer your personal data to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data.
  • Where we use certain service providers, we may use specific contracts approved for use in the UK which give personal data the same protection it has in the UK.

If you would like further information on the specific mechanism used by us when transferring your personal data out of the UK please contact us (see ‘How to contact us’ below).

Orders & Account

To check your orders, just log in to your account and go to 'My Orders'. You will then be able to view all of your order and shipping details.

Your order number will be on your dispatch email, parcels can only be tracked after they've been dispatched. To track, select your order and under the Shipments tab, click the 'Track this Package' button.

‍Your delivery might just be fashionably late - especially when it’s busy! Give it a few extra days. If it still hasn’t turned up, get in touch with our Customer Care team and we’ll help get it sorted.

We get it - sometimes you hit “buy” and instantly regret it but unfortunately as soon as you place your order, we’re on it. This means we will be unable to make any changes as it’s already being processed at the brand’s warehouse.

You’ll need to wait for it to arrive and then request a return (if the item is eligible). We recommend double-checking your basket before you checkout - it’ll save you the hassle later.

Half a haul? Don’t worry - here’s what might’ve happened:

  • Shipped separately: Some brands send items in different parcels - check your email for extra tracking links.
  • Still being packed: Part of your order might still be getting ready - it could arrive a little later.
  • Out of stock last-minute: If a brand couldn’t send it, check your inbox for updates
  • Delivery hiccup: Occasionally, couriers split deliveries (yep, it’s annoying).

Check your Orders page to see what’s shipped so far. If you’re still missing something after checking tracking, message our Customer Care team and we’ll help get it sorted.

Uh-oh - not what you were expecting? Here’s how to fix it:

  • Check your order details: Make sure it’s the right size/style/colour you ordered.
  • Take a quick pic: Snap a photo of what’s wrong - it’ll help us sort it faster.
  • Get in touch with our Customer Care team and make sure to include as much detail as possible.
  • If your order is incorrect - please send it back to us as soon as you can. You’ll need to specify “incorrect item” as the reason when creating your return.

We’ll help make sure you get what you paid for - or your money back!

Pay your way! Card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay… all payment methods are listed below and at checkout, ready for your order!

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Maestro
  • American Express
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Paypal

Heads up - our platform is exclusively for students enrolled at UK universities. To create an account, you’ll need a verified student email address from your university.

Hazaar App

The Hazaar App is a zero-waste marketplace app for students to buy and sell their pre-loved items. You can buy from and sell to other students in your area without paying a single penny on postage.

Once an item has been sold, a QR code is generated on the app. Then, the buyer and seller arranges a time and place to meet up to complete the exchange. The payment is released when the buyer scans the QR code from the seller. Simple!

How do I sign up?

We work with:

  • University College London
  • London School of Economics
  • Westminster
  • UoB
  • Strathclyde University
  • Kent University

If your university isn’t on this list, you won’t be able to make an account with us yet… but don’t worry! We’re working incredibly hard in the background to make Hazaar available nationwide, so keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime follow us on Instagram and TikTok!

Can anyone sign up for Hazaar?

No. You must have a university email address ending in .ac.uk (available to students and staff).

Do I have to pay for Hazaar?

No, the app is free to use. However, we do take 10% commission from sales, and our payment provider (Stripe) charges 1.5% + 20p per sale, so if you are selling please keep this in mind.

You can close your Hazaar account at any time from the app settings by deleting your account if you have set up a password.

You can also request your account be deleted by completing this form. We will email you to confirm you want to proceed before deleting the account.

Once your account is deleted, you will not be able to access Hazaar unless you sign up again. You will have to set up your account again from scratch.
